Movie Review
Judas and the Black Messiah
Write a one page movie review discussing what the movie is about and what your opinion of the movie is in the conclusion of your essay.
Key Points to remember; Fred Hampton's life and death(The black Jesus or the Messiah) and his fiance's legacy. William O’Neal as the Judas (Traitor) and the notoriously sly white FBI Agent. The Black Panther party revolution as it came alive and ended in Chicago, Illinois.
Start here:
Judas and the Black Messiah is a movie directed by Shaka King on February 1 2021. It is a film about the legendary black panther known as Fred Hampton AKA The Black Jesus, and the man who “technically” Killed him known as William O’Neal AKA Traitor, and the man who paid the killer known as the sly white FBI Agent.
To summarize it quickly, The movie is basically all the events that lead to Fred Hampton's death. Whether the illegal guns, the shots leading to an injured cop, the drug money to buy explosives, it all leads to the government hitting back by killing their leader on December 4, 1969 due to a shootout. After the Black Jesus dropped dead, the black panther party quickly fell into pieces. Riots about dirty police, vengeance for Fred Hampton, and chaos were all there was in news headlines. A Lot of time later, the rat known as William O neal says the truth on pbs news. Later that day, when the news aired on live tv, Willam committed suicide.
In conclusion, the movie got a 96/100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes,
And I would give it a 8.5/10. The movie told the truth about a horrific scandal that was caused by a coward rat that should never of happened in the first place.
